Psalm 3
A Psalm by David, when ʜᴇ fled from Absalom ʜɪꜱ son.
1YHWH, how my adversaries increase!
Many who rise up against me.
2Many there are who say of my soul,
“There is no deliverance for him in God.” Selah.
3But you, YHWH, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
4I cry out to YHWH with my voice,
and ʜᴇ answers me from ʜɪꜱ holy mountain. Selah.
5I lie down and sleep.
I awaken because YHWH sustains me.
6I will not be afraid of tens of thousands of people
who have surround me on every side.
7Rise up, YHWH!
Save me, my God!
For you have struck all of my enemies on the jaw.
You have broken the teeth of the wicked.
8Salvation belongs to YHWH.
May your blessing be on your people. Selah.
