The Incarnation of the Word
1 John 1What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of life— the life was revealed, and we have seen, testify, and declare to y’all the eternal life, which was with the Father and was revealed to us. What we have seen and heard we declare to y’all so that y’all may also have fellowship with us. Indeed, our fellowship is with the Father and with ʜɪꜱ Son, Jesus Christ. We write these things to you so that our joy may be complete.
God is Light so Walk in Light
This is the message which we have heard from ʜɪᴍ and announce to y’all. God is light and in ʜɪᴍ is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with ʜɪᴍ and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and don’t practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as ʜᴇ is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus ʜɪꜱ Son, cleanses us from all sin. If we say, “We have no sin,” we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, ʜᴇ is faithful and righteous, such that ʜᴇ will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we haven’t sinned, we make ʜɪᴍ a liar, and ʜɪꜱ word is not in us.
