Four Hallelujahs Over Babylon’s Fall
Revelation 19After these things I heard something like a loud sound of a massive crowd in heaven, saying, “Hallelujah! Salvation, power, and glory belong to our God, because ʜɪꜱ judgments are true and righteous. For ʜᴇ has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and ʜᴇ has avenged the blood of his slaves at her hand.”
A second said, “Hallelujah! Her smoke ascends for ever and ever.” The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who is seated on the throne, saying, “Amen! Hallelujah!”
A sound came from the throne, saying, “Y’all give praise to our God, all of ʜɪꜱ slaves, those who fear him, the small and the great!”
I heard something like the sound of a massive crowd, and like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of mighty thunders, saying, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God Almighty reigns! Let us rejoice and be glad, and give glory to ʜɪᴍ. For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.” She was given radiant, pure, fine linen to wear (for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints).
He said to me, “You are to write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding banquet of the Lamb.’” He said to me, “These are true words of God.”
I fell down before his feet to worship him. He said to me, “Look! Don’t do this! I am a fellow slave with you and with your siblings who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, because the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy.”
The Son of God Goes to War
I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse. The one who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and wages war. His eyes are a fiery flame, and on his head are many crowns. He has names written and a name written which no one knows except himself. He is clothed in a garment dipped in blood. His name is called “The Word of God.” The armies in heaven, clothed in white, pure, fine linen, followed him on white horses. Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double-edged sword that with it he should strike the ethnic groups. He will shepherd them with an iron rod.+Psa 2:9 He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his garment and on his thigh he has a name written, “king of kings and lord of lords.”
I saw an angel standing in the sun. He cried with a great sound, saying to all the birds flying in midheaven, “Y’all come and be gathered together for the great banquet of God, so that y’all may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of commanders, the flesh of the mighty, and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, both free and slave, small and great.”
I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against the one who sat on the horse and his army. The beast was seized, and with it the false prophet who made the signs in its presence and deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. The rest were killed with the sword that came from the mouth of the one who sat on the horse, and all the birds were engorged with their flesh.
