A Psalm. A Song for the Dedication of the Temple. By David.
I will exalt you, YHWH, for you have raised me up, and have not let my enemies rejoice over me. YHWH my God, I cried to you, and you healed me. YHWH, you brought up my soul from Sheol. You kept me alive instead of going down to the pit.Y’all sing praise to YHWH, O ʜɪꜱ faithful ones. Y’all give thanks to ʜɪꜱ holy name. For ʜɪꜱ anger lasts only for a moment. Hɪꜱ favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning. From my security, I said, “I will never be moved.” YHWH, when you favored me, made my mountain stand strong, but when you hid your face, I was terrified. I cried to you, YHWH. I made begged the Lord for mercy: “What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it declare your truth? Hear, YHWH, and have mercy on me. YHWH, be my helper.” You have turned my mourning into dancing. You have removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, so that my glory may sing praise to you and not be silent. YHWH my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
