Psalm 14
For the music director. By David.
1Fools say in their heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt.
They have committed vile deeds.
There is no one who does good.
2YHWH looked down from heaven on the children of humanity,
to see if there were any who understood,
who seek after God.
3They have all turned away.
Together they have become corrupt.
There is no one who does good, no, not one.
4Do all these evildoers know nothing?
Those who eat up my people like they eat bread,
and never call on YHWH?
5There they were in fear and terror,
for God is with the righteous generation.
6Y’all humiliate the plans of the poor,
because YHWH is their shelter.
7Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!
When YHWH restores the fortunes of ʜɪꜱ people,
then Jacob will rejoice, and Israel will be glad.
