Leviticus 6

YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, “If anyone sins, and commits a trespass against YHWH, and deals falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or has oppressed his neighbor, or has found that which was lost and lied about it, and swears falsely—in any of the sinful things a person might do— then when they sin and realize their guilt, they are to restore what was stolen, or taken by oppression, or the deposit which was committed to them, or the lost thing they found, or any thing about which they has sworn falsely. They must restore it in full and add a fifth part more to it. They must return it to the one it belongs to on the day they are found guilty. They must bring a trespass offering to YHWH: a ram without defect from the flock, according to your estimation, for a trespass offering, to the priest. the priest is to make atonement for them before YHWH, and they will be forgiven concerning whatever they did to become guilty.”

Laws for Burnt Offerings

YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, “Command Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the burnt offering: the burnt offering must be on the hearth on the altar all night until the morning; and the fire of the altar must be kept burning on it. the priest is to put on his linen garment, and he is to put on his linen trousers upon his body; and he must remove the ashes from where the fire has consumed the burnt offering on the altar and put them beside the altar. He is to take off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place. The fire on the altar must be kept burning on it, it must not go out. The priest is to burn wood on it every morning. He is to lay the burnt offering in order upon it and burn on it the fat of the peace offerings. Fire must be kept burning on the altar continually; it must not go out.

Laws for Grain Offerings

“‘This is the law of the grain offering: the sons of Aaron will offer it before YHWH, before the altar. He is to take from there his handful of the fine flour of the grain offering, and of its oil, and all the frankincense which is on the grain offering and burn it on the altar for a pleasant aroma, as its memorial portion, to YHWH. That which is left of it Aaron and his sons may eat. It is to be eaten without yeast in a holy place. They is to eat it in the court of the Tent of Meeting. It must not be baked with yeast. I have given it as their portion of my offerings made by fire. It is most holy, as are the sin offering and the trespass offering. Every male among the children of Aaron will eat of it, as their portion forever throughout y’all’s generations, from the offerings of YHWH made by fire. Whoever touches them will be holy.’”

YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, “This is the offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they will offer to YHWH in the day when he is anointed: one tenth of an ephah+6:20 1 ephah is about 22 liters or about 2/3 of a bushel of fine flour for a grain offering perpetually, half of it in the morning, and half of it in the evening. It is to be made with oil in a griddle. When it is soaked, you are to bring it in and offer the grain offering in baked pieces for a pleasant aroma to YHWH. The anointed priest that will be in his place from among his sons will offer it. By a permanent statute, it must be wholly burned to YHWH. Every grain offering of a priest is to be wholly burned. It must not be eaten.”

Laws for Sin Offerings

YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the sin offering: in the place where the burnt offering is killed, the sin offering must be killed before YHWH. It is most holy. The priest who offers it for sin is to eat it. It must be eaten in a holy place, in the court of the Tent of Meeting. Whatever touches its flesh will be holy. When there is any of its blood sprinkled on a garment, you are to wash that on which it was sprinkled in a holy place. But the earthen vessel in which it is boiled must be broken; and if it is boiled in a bronze vessel, it must be scoured, and rinsed in water. Every male among the priests is to eat of it. It is most holy. No sin offering, of which any of the blood is brought into the Tent of Meeting to make atonement in the Holy Place, is to be eaten. It must be burned with fire.
