Bearing One Another’s Burdens

Galatians 6

Siblings, even if a human is caught in some fault, y’all who are spiritual must restore them in a spirit of gentleness, watching yourself so that y’all also aren’t tempted. Y’all must bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks they are something when they are nothing, they deceive themselves. But let each person examine their work. Then they will have reason to boast in their own work, and not in someone else’s. For each person will need to carry their own burden.

The one who is taught in the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches. Y’all don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for a human reaps what they sow. For whoever sows to their own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But whoever sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let’s not be weary in doing what is excellent, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all people, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.

Walk in New Creation

See with what large letters I write to y’all with my own hand. Those who want to make a good impression in the flesh try to compel y’all to be circumcised, but only to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. For even they who receive circumcision don’t keep the law themselves, but they desire to have y’all circumcised, so that they may boast in y’all’s flesh. But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is anything—what matters is new creation. Peace and mercy be to those who walk in this rule, and upon the Israel of God.

From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear the brand-marks of Jesus on my body.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with y’all’s spirit, siblings. Amen.
